‘All Shook Up’

Tickets are now available to purchase from the school for our upcoming show ‘All Shook Up’.  Our show will take place on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th March.

Junk Kouture 2023

Congratulations to our TY students Cóilín Doris and Mikey Quinlisk whose entry ‘Malwear’ is now through to the Dublin final of Junk Kouture 2023. Best of luck lads.

Kemmy Business School JC Business Studies Awards

Well done to Emily Holohan who was recognised for achieving a distinction in the Junior Cycle Business Studies Exam 2022 in an awards ceremony in UL this week. Great achievement for Emily and Borrisokane Community College.

 

Applied Health Care at SETU

Thanks to Ruth Maher who delivered an excellent virtual talk on Applied Health Care to our students this week.  Our students got an insight into SETUs nursing and Midwifery Programmes as well as the benefits and supports available to students studying at SETU.

 

Templemore College of Further Education

Thanks to Michael Lenihan who gave an excellent overview of PLCs in general and the value they can offer students following their LC as well as an in depth overview of PLC courses on offer in Templemore College.

 Bank of Ireland Talk

Thanks to Shane Enright from BOI who spoke to our 5th Year students about factors to consider when setting up a business.  He also gave important information to our students about CVs and Interview Skills.

1st Year Basketball

Well done to our 1st year girls team who had a win on Monday against Colaiste Chiaran Athlone.  The girls won 13-8 and now progress to the semi-finals.

 

Indoor Athletics Competition

Borrisokane Community College came home with three medals from this competition this week.

Morgan Deasy Silver in ShotPut , Eoghan Dunne Silver in  Long Jump and Hannah Larkin Bronze in Long Jump.  Well done to all who participated.

 

U15 Camogie Game

Excellent work by our U15 camogie team this week when they won the game against Borrisoleigh on a scoreline of 3-5 to 0-4.  Well done girls and best of luck in the next game.

2nd Year Girls Basketball

Well done to our 2nd years who won their game on Thursday against Kilbeggan on a scoreline of 23-10. Best of luck as they progress to the semi-finals.

 

Munster Badminton

Congratulations to our U14 girls who took gold beating all schools in their category in UL on Fri.  They now head to Dublin for the Finals.

Hard luck to the U16 boys who played very well and just missed out on 2nd place.
