Active Schools Flag
Borrisokane CC has just completed the first year of the Active Schools Flag process and really embraced this. We were one of 17 pilot schools completing the “try it out stage ”. This is a student led initiative with TY’s and a small number of teachers making up the coordination team. Student leadership and student voice are core to the values of our active school team.
The ASF class produced a showcase video to show all the hard work they put into Active schools over the course of the year

Active schools week/Wellfest
-We celebrate a week called Wellfest which combines Wellbeing Week and Active Schools Week where a variety of physical activities are on offer. The focus is on fun and inclusive physical actyivity opportunities for both students and staff
In 2022/2023, we will aim to complete the certificate stage where our focus will be on continuing to develop physical activity opportunities for our school community.
