Music Generation Talk for TYs

Thanks to Aidan O’Donnell who came to the school this week to talk to our Transition Year students about getting involved in the Music Generation Programme.  The programme believes that making and performing music should be a joyful experience that has the potential to transform students lives in many possible ways.  We look forward to working with Aidan and Music Generation.

Green Flag for Travel

We received our newest Green Flag this week for Travel.  2B received this award for us virtually during the week.  It is a great achievement considering we had so much time out of school over the past two years.

Extra curricular Activities

Each evening after school activities are back up and running for students with a wide range of sports available including Athletics, Hurling, Soccer, Chess, Badminton, Basketball and Camogie.  During the coming week the first year hurling team will take part in a blitz competition.

Sixth Year Wellbeing

During the past week sixth year students had a relaxing period where they could chat in the canteen for their coffee morning as part of our Wellbeing Programme.

Club na nÓg

Club na nÓg resumed this week with Transition Year students taking part in  sean- nós dancing.  Míle buíochas d’Olive Kilgannon don rang sean-nós um tráthnóna.

 

Erasmus

During the week Transition Year students taking part in the Erasmus Programme planted a Wild Cherry Sapling to celebrate National Tree Day to help counteract our carbon footprint.
