Borrisokane Community College School Notes

Dillon Quirke Fundraiser

We would like to thank everyone who joined us on Tuesday 23rd May for our Fundraiser.  It was a fantastic evening where the community of Borrisokane Community College Past and Present got to come together.

We had the official opening of our Ball Wall and thanks to Niall O’Meara for cutting the ribbon.  We had hurling and camogie games with students from the past and present showing their skills and entertaining the crowds for the evening.

Thanks to The Country Kitchen, Rambling Rosie, Get Fresh and Staff, Alan Tierney, Fiserv and everyone who supported us on the evening.

 

Transition Year Work Experience

Thanks to all the employers who have kindly taken on our TY students for work experience.  It is a great opportunity for our students to experience the world of work and their support is very much appreciated.

 

1st Year Tour to Emerald Park

Our 1st years enjoyed a trip to Emerald Park on Wednesday. A great day was had by all on the trip and the sun shone brightly for the day.  Thanks to all staff who travelled with the students.

 

5th Year Trip to the Zoo

Some of our 5th years students took a break from the classroom on Thursday and enjoyed a trip to Dublin Zoo.  It is great to see that it has something to offer all age groups.

 

2nd Year Trip to Westlake Aqua Park

Our 2nd years enjoyed a trip to Killaloe on FridayStudents got to experience kayaking and canoeing, high ropes, low ropes, climbing tower and archery.  A fantastic day in the sunshine was had by all.

 

LC Graduation Ceremony

Congratulations to the class of 2023 who had their graduation ceremony on Thursday evening.  Thanks to Fr. Pat Greed and Rev Gary Paulsen for their participation in the ceremony.  Best of luck to our students in their upcoming examinations.
