6th Year Graduation
Congratulations to the Leaving Cert Class of 2026 whose Graduation Ceremony took place on Thursday May 21st. The celebration was filled with music, dancing, songs and beautiful speeches that resonated with everyone in the hall and reminded us of the strong sense of togetherness and community we share in Borrisokane Community College.
Thank you to all the staff, students and family members who organised and participated in the ceremony. We wish the 6th years the very best of luck in their upcoming exams and every success and happiness in the future.
U14 Boys Soccer
The u14 boys soccer team recently travelled to Cahir to take part in the South East Munster Blitz. Having topped their group, they were knocked out by a late goal in the quarter final. Well done to all involved!
Hotel Catering and Tourism Practical Task
Well done to our 6A Leaving Certificate Applied students for completing their Hotel, Catering and Tourism practical exam last week. They did an excellent job cooking all their dishes. Well done everyone!
Architects in Schools
On Tuesday May 19th, our 5th Year students attended the Architects in Schools Expo in the DLR Lexicon, Dun Laoghaire where they presented their Outdoor Classroom designs to the Irish Architecture Foundation and toured the DLR Lexicon building. Borrisokane Community College was one of fifty schools that partook in the National programme and one of eight schools selected to present on the day. Students were commended for their outstanding presentations and creativity.
End of Year Trips
5th year students enjoyed a brilliant trip to University of Limerick Activity Centre in Killaloe on Friday . They had a great day, experiencing team building activities, stand up paddling, kayaking and high ropes.
2nd year students enjoyed a day at Emerald Park on Tuesday May 19th, while 1st year students will make the same journey on Wednesday 27th.
