Young Environmentalist Award
Best wishes to both of our Transition Year Young Environmentalist Award Teams who have successfully submitted their video and project idea and are now moving onto the next stage in the competition.
Team Buzz and Bloom plan to install a feature garden and bee friendly area by our school walkway and Team Sea Safe, Sun Safe are analysing the impact of sunscreen on sea life.

Basketball
The first and second year boys’ basketball teams were successful in the final games of the year on Friday February 13th. All the hard work and training paid off with outstanding performances across the court. Well done to all the boys. We look forward to what next season will bring!

Tractor Skills Course
Leaving Certificate Applied and Transition Year students completed the FRS Tractor Driving Skills course on Tuesday February 24th. Thank you to Majella in FRS Training and Tutor Kevin for facilitating this wonderful opportunity for our students.

U17 Hurling
The Under 17 hurling team had a great win on Wednesday February 25th in the County semi final vs Comeragh College. The players battled back from eight points down in the first half to win by seven points in the end. The game finished 3-21 to 2-17. We now look forward to the County Final.

Future Leaders
The Future Leaders classes welcomed past pupil and referee Alan Tierney to the school on Thursday February 26th. Thank you to Alan for taking part in the interview, which was a valuable learning experience for the students’ Refereeing Module.
