Tipperary ETB Cookery Competition

Congratulations to Transition Year students, Ciara Maher and Louise Killeen, who represented our school brilliantly at the Tipperary ETB Cooking Competition recently. Their teamwork, skill and dedication were outstanding — they truly did themselves and our school proud.

Student Voice

Spotlite, a teaching and learning initiative, involving students and teachers, took place again this term. The focus was on students observing teachers in the classroom in order to improve written and oral formative feedback. Great collaborative practice was demonstrated by teachers and students which enhances student voice and provides valuable feedback.

Girls Basketball

Well done to our second year girls basketball team who had a great win today against Dunamase. The girls have now qualified for the next stage of the midlands competition.

U17 Hurling

Well done to the u17 hurlers who had a good win against Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré in the County u17 hurling quarter final. The Semi-final is to be played after midterm.

TY Future Leaders

The TY Future Leaders at BCC are hosting a competition centred around the Six Nations Rugby Tournament as part of events module. Entry forms have been emailed to students. Best of Luck!

Gaelbhratach

Le déanaí, ghlac grúpa daltaí Idirbhliana ón ár gCoiste Gaelbhratach páirt i dtionscadal spraíúil agus tairbheach: ceacht cártaí as Gaeilge leis na chéadbhlianta! Roghnaigh siad an cluiche cáiliúil UNO mar bhealach simplí, taitneamhach chun foclóir na Gaeilge a chleachtadh i suíomh nádúrtha agus idirghníomhach.

Bhí atmaisféar bríomhar sa seomra ranga agus na daltaí ag míniú rialacha an chluiche trí Ghaeilge — “Tarraing cárta!”, “Cas ar dheis!”, “Athrú dathanna!” agus frásaí eile a chuala na chéadbhlianta arís agus arís eile. Thug sé deis iontach dóibh Gaeilge labhartha a úsáid gan brú ar bith, agus d’éirigh leo foghlaim trí spraoi.

Faoi dheireadh bhí siad níos muiníní ag labhairt na teanga i suíomh neamhfhoirmiúil. Bhí áthas ar an gCoiste Gaelbhratach freisin go raibh an tionscadal tar éis an Ghaeilge a thabhairt beo ar bhealach taitneamhach agus spreagúil.Tá tuilleadh seisiún beartaithe cheana féin!

Darts Competition

A whole school darts competition is running during Junior and Senior lunch times on Mondays, with over 120 students, both boys and girls participating, and many more coming to throw for fun between games. This competition is to select a team to represent our school in an ETB competition in Thurles in May.
