Third Year School Tour
Over 80 of our third year students travelled to Barcelona this week on their school tour. Their four day itinerary included a bus tour, taking them to sights such as the Olympic Village, Botanical Gardens and the Sagrada Familia. A visit to Monserrat, the CosmoCaixa Science Museum, a boat trip and bowling took place, in addition to a day trip to Portaventura theme park. The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thanks to the teachers who organised the trip and accompanied the students.
Active School Flag Showcase
Our Transition Year Active School class have begun working towards their flag and planning the activities for the year ahead. They welcomed the Active School class from Portumna Community School on Thursday for a Cluster Day, including interactive workshops and activities including darts, tug of war and so on.
T.Y. Future Leaders
The Transition Year Future Leaders class completed their coaching course with Pio Kennedy, Games Development Coordinator on Wednesday. The course develops their coaching skills and prepares them for organising blitzes for primary school pupils over the course of the year. It will also equip them with the skills to get involved with their own GAA club.
After School Study
Supervised study takes place in our school, Monday to Thursday from 4p.m. – 6.15p.m. Students can order food from the canteen for collection before study. Students who wish to sign up can respond to email from Marie Coffey or call to the school office.
