GAA Future Leaders
Borrisokane Community College has been chosen as a GAA Future Leader Gold Award winning school for the third consecutive year. Congratulations to the Future Leaders class 2024/25 and their teachers on this fantastic achievement.
ETB Culture Day
Well done to our students who took part in Tipperary ETB Culture Day on Friday May 16th. The school was represented in the Games Fleadh, the junior and senior table quiz, comórtas filíochta, oradaíocht, photography and sustainable fashion. Comhghairdeas lenár n-iontrálaí filíochta sinsearach a bhuaigh an comórtas and congratulations to our senior quiz team who also won on the day.
Munster Athletics
The Munster Athletics Track and Field Competition took place on Saturday May 17th in MTU, Cork. It was a successful day for our athletes, with a silver medal for Jack Tierney in the hammer. Emily Stapleton also won silver in the hammer, achieving a new PB. Morgan Deasy won gold in the shot and silver in the discus. We wish them well as they progress to the National Championship.
C.S.P.E. Sustainability Project
Our 2nd Years are excited to introduce brand new Re-turn bottle recycling bins in the school as part of our CSPE sustainability project in conjuction with the Parents Association. Cans and bottles with labels intact can be left in these bins.
