ETB Talent Show

Borrisokane Community College proudly hosted the Tipperary ETB talent show on Thursday March 19th, with past pupil Ella Carey as MC. The school was represented by the  Traditional music group which performed ‘Tradfather’ by Limerick group Beoga and ‘Killeagh’ by Kingfisher.  Additionally, Ellen Kennedy and Emily Haase, both 6th year students, sang ‘Photograph’ by Ed Sheeran. Thank you to everyone who contributed to an enjoyable evening of entertainment.

   

U16 Tennis

Congratulations to the U16 boys Munster tennis team who played  Colaiste Na Trocaire, Rathkeale on Wednesday March 18th. They won 4-0.

Junior Girls Soccer

The Junior Girls soccer team secured a great win against Our Lady’s Secondary School, Templemore on Wednesday March 18th. They now top their league group, having won three matches. This was a brilliant team performance again. Well done to the girls.

Junk Kouture

Best wishes to Transition Year students Louise Killeen and Ciara Maher who were delighted to learn that their creation “From Bottles to Blossoms” was one of those chosen for a  Junk Kouture Golden Ticket. This means they will proceed to the Dublin Final in May, along with their classmates Ella Ryan and Julie Ryan with “Danger on the Dairy”

Senior Soccer

The Senior Soccer team were beaten by CBS High School Clonmel team on Friday March 13th. The players were unlucky to concede a late goal, coming out on the wrong side of a 2-1 score line. The Senior team will build on the successes of the year and return next year.

 

Transition Year Musical

Preparations are well underway for the Transition Year musical  Beauty and the Beast, which will be staged on Tuesday March 24th and Wednesday March 25th at 8p.m. in the school complex. We hope you will “Be Our Guests” for this amazing show. Tickets are available from the school office.
