Think Languages
Transition Years and 5th year language students enjoyed the Think Languages event and a tour of campus in NUI Galway on Friday November 21st. They took part in workshops, which included French, German, Spanish and Italian. Thank you to Sylvie Mossay for facilitating the visit.
TY Science
Congratulations to those TY students who qualified for the Stripe Young Scientists final 2026 with their projects. These include a project on Better Breeds for Beef Production. Another group of TY students will enter with “Skin safe, Sea Safe”, an evidence based investigation into the efficacy of regular and reef safe sunscreen and their impact on aquatic ecosystems. Additionally, a TY group will enter with their project ‘Sexless Seeds: How these crops could soon transform Irish food on the market’. We wish all the students and their teachers well with their entries.
Well done to the group of Transition Year students who are completing a biodiversity project for the Eco-UNESCO Young Environmentalist awards.
Fiserv Visit
Our 6th year LCVP students visited Fiserv, Nenagh today as part of the Link Modules programme. Students took part in an informative careers discussion and completed a practical budgeting workshop, gaining valuable insight into workplace skills and financial planning.

Basketball
The U16 boys Basketball team enjoyed two very competitive games in Mountmellick on Thursday November 27th. They showed some great team work and have improved immensely since the start of the season.
Ladies Football
BCC Ladies football team had their first Championship win after a well contested game against CTI Clonmel on Monday November 24th. Final score was 5-3 to 3-3.
U15 Rugby
Well done to our u15 rugby team who attended a blitz in TUS Limerick on Thursday November 27th.

Our two Certified Irish Angus Beef Competition teams organised a very informative talk from Teagasc Advisor Padraig Fogarty for senior cycle Agricultural Science students.

Leaving Certificate Art Trip
5th yr Art students enjoyed a tour of the megalithic monument at Newgrange on Wednesday November 26th as part of their visual studies for the Leaving Certificate.
