T.Y. Future Leaders  Gold Award Ceremony  

Congratulations to the Future Leaders class of 2025 who received the Gold Future Leaders Award at a ceremony in Croke Park on September 17th. The class were well represented by Cliona Byrne, Donal Cleary and Rory Fox, who showcased the activities and achievements of the class over the past year.  

 

STEM Passport for Inclusion  

A group of Transition Years girls attended a STEM Passport for Inclusion day in Killorglin on Tuesday September 16th. The program provides inspiring STEM mentoring and teamwork and the girls are learning to code with microbit.  

 

Study Hub  

Junior and Senior Study Hub has commenced. It takes place Monday to Thursday from 8.20a.m. to 8.50a.m. in Room 114. Students have the opportunity to work on homework and study.  

 

Extra Curricular  

Extra curricular activities are taking place each day in Borrisokane Community College. There was a great turnout at training this week in first year Girls’ Soccer, Senior Boys’ Soccer, U16 girls basketball, senior hurling and badminton. Additionally, the Library, Games Room, Oratory and Friendship café are open for students at lunch times. 

 

Open Night  

Borrisokane Community College Admissions Notice has been published on the school website, www.borrisokanecc.ie.  Open night will take place on Thursday October 16th, with doors open at 5p.m. and principal’s address at 6 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. Further information and  the application form is available on the school website.

Very best wishes to 6th year student Aidan O’ Hara, who will represent Ireland at U18 level in the World Darts Federation World Cup in South Korea next week.
