Borrisokane Community College Notes 5/9/25
First Years
A warm welcome is extended to all students and staff at Borrisokane Community College, particularly new staff and our new group of first years. We wish students well with their studies, extra-curricular activities and in school life.
First year students took part in an Induction Day, when they met Ms. Fogarty, their Year Head and their Cairde. They familiarised themselves with the school building and took part in fun, team building activities. The Cairde will continue to mentor First Years throughout the year.
Leaving Certificate Results
Congratulations to the Leaving Certificate Class of 2025, who received their results recently. We are proud of their outstanding results in the Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied, resulting from hard work and the support of their teachers and families. We wish them well in their future endeavours.
T.Y. Segway
Our Transition Year and L.C.A. students participated in a Segway workshop on Tuesday and Wednesday 2nd and 3rd September, which was fun and enjoyable for all.
Gaisce
Congratulations to Liam Foley and Paraic Bergin, who completed their Gold Gaisce Journey, with an adventure – four days of cycling. They showed resilience, teamwork and leadership, developed new skills and engaged in their communities over the three years of the programme. Comhghairdeas!
